"I heard you."
Yuki turned. Pochi stared. The others were already boarding the UFO, chattering excitedly about Vanilla; only they lingered.
"In the classroom, I heard you. You told me you would figure something out."
One last time, Pochi tried to put the pieces together. It felt important, somehow, like if he didn't do it now he would never get the chance to. Irrational. But even irrational thoughts could have some truth to them.
Yuki beamed at him. Not a hint of guile on her face.
"I don't know what you heard, Mr. Pochi, but I'm glad you trust me."
