I never really got along with Mom. It's been worse since the funeral. S'alright, though. I'm getting good at not getting along. Not that it's hard, with Mom, these days. 'Cause she's always angry. Or not there.

We fight a lot, I guess. About stupid things like the groceries. I guess it's easier than to talk about real problems. Like Dad.

Sometimes if I push hard enough she'll even say the things she really means. Stuff like I can't deal with you anymore, Syd.

Ms. Cappriotti would say it's progress, for her to finally admit it, so.
